Because of my low vision and the fact that I keep dropping them I get my tablets made up by the chemist into a blister pack , called a Webster pack in England and, I think, here in Australia. It is a free service and I just transfer the money for any new tablets as each bill comes with the pack. I haven’t been happy with the current packaging because the backing has been very stiff and the little thyroid pills in particular have been getting stuck to the backing. (Just had to laugh, voice to text just typed cyanide pills rather than thyroid pills! I would only be taking those once).
I have just asked my chemist, Adam at Blooms Chemist if he will order in the low vision version of Webster pack which he is willing to do. I have offered to pay for these because they will save me a lot of frustration and be safer. The safety factor is why chemists offer the service. I feel sorry for the girl who has to sort all my tablets into days etc every week. You have to be very careful to get all the right tablets in the holes, as I found when I was doing Dad’s before I learned about the Webster pack. They are a real blessing.
