The Art of the Matter

Things are deteriorating at the moment again and I’m having to dictate because typing is too jittery. However I got to my Parkinson’s art class 20 km away today despite feeling absolutely terrible. Don’t know what is the matter but it was very hard to move today and I felt like I was coming down with something which is probably true since I visited the doctors where you go to catch everybody else’s germs. But I had spent quite a bit of time online this morning regarding some items I have for the local regional Museum so I’m looking forward to hearing back from them.

I had to do a lay down before I set off with my helper for the Art Class and as soon as we got there she made me a sweetened coffee and got me a Tim Tam chocolate biscuit which is nearly as good as a caramel sundae for health purposes.

I only had to sit there and look at seashells and work out what colours were in the outside which was quite beautiful and then Sue our teacher put on some 50 60s music and we were all singing quietly along.

I will miss it next Monday when it is the Queen’s Birthday weekend so the carers all have a day off and there is no art class.

I’ve done very well with being able to sit for so long just as long as I don’t have to get up and down which really hurts. I enjoy myself since my helper has a couple of hours not needing to help me after set-up then tootles off see if she can find things I am looking for which gives her a break from looking after me. Mind you her driving today nearly saw me climbing under the seat, especially on the way home in the late afternoon after-school rush hour.

So we brought I the bedcover off the line and this is now in the dryer which in turn is warming up the house since it’s suddenly gone very cool and looks like rain again.

I couldn’t wait to get to bed by 4:38 p.m. so just had two bread rolls instead of the dinner I had plans for, plus 2 patracetamol and a small glass of my latest medicinal apricot liqueur which contains apricots honey and cinnamon with half a cup of brandy (not every glass Anyway a small amount goes a long way with all my medications lol and now I am horizontal dictating this I don’t feel bad at all. But I will have to stop dictating for now because my left hand is going numb from holding the phone.

Here are my pictures from today.

Starting the shell in water colours. I’m not a fan of them
