And The Sun Comes Up Next Morning

This breathtaking picture was taken by my great friend Terry Hudson who has only come late to photography but does some marvellous work.

As a friend of a friend, Karen Hutchinson,Terry used to do all the repairs and Improvements to firstly Mum and Dad’s and my place.

Together with his son, Darren (Tez ‘n Daz) they became part of our family. When Terry had to give up his roofing business (which I totally blame on him sliding off a snow-covered roof and into a frozen fish pond one winter’s day – as you do)- his health deteriorated and he had to give up full-time work.

Terry was interested in my photography, and, having done local computing courses to fill in his time, said he would like to learn photography properly.

So I found him his first digital camera through fFreecycle, which as the name implies cost him nothing. Since then he has gone on to better cameras and super photographs which has helped keep him active.

Terry had joined a photography club and as they travelled about he picked up all the tricks of good photography. That he tends to look at life from a different angle (perhaps from all those years atop people’s rooves) shows in his work.

Meanwhile his wife, my dear friend, Betty, is away following her lifelong passion of motorcycle racing which you may have seen on my Youtube video of her in pit lane at Castle Donnington, Yorkshire UK, where she is always welcomed. see Betty Hudson with motorcycle champions here.

Neither are letting anything stop them, or hardly slow them down.

Now this is really ‘capturing the light’!
